I am still buzzing with inspiration from “My Woman’s Workshop” that I attended today. I wanted to tell you about it because I find it very helpful in my life it might be something you could benefit from too.
The day started off with me getting up late because well after a bottle of wine last night I made a mistake and set my alarm for Sunday at 7:00pm but good thing I have an internal alarm clock and can’t sleep in any way! I was totally on time for the registration and coffee at the WU Conference center for this event though. Yay me! I saw some familiar faces but as I was looking around for a space this lovely woman invited me to sit with her and right away we started chatting and there was an instant connection. I could tell she is one of those people with a beautiful spirit and a good energy. I think every woman in attendance was the same because of the simple fact they were there. We were all there because we made a choice to spend our Saturday learning by choice and being proactive in making our lives better in some way.
The sessions started off with the lovely Wendy Southworth from Priority Personnel. Then Kathy Watt from LMI Canada spoke to us about the importance of goal setting. She talked about the common traits of successful people and what sets us apart (Yes I consider myself successful). Its not money or education or some mystical power people have. 3% of the most successful people have written measurable goals. 10% have firm goals and I believe I am in the 10 %....not a shabby place to be but there is more to it. You really need to take the time to think about your goals and feel how you will feel when you reach them. Act “as if” it has already happened. Successful people focus, they are self-motivated and positive (no excuses). Also knowing where you are, where you want to go, when you want to do it, how you are going to do it and then tracking your progress are all things you need to do in order to effectively reach your goals.
I wont spend more time on this but one more thing I learned is that I’ve waited for things to be perfect at times and it holds me back more. Life isn’t linear and she compared it to the course of an air plane. Air planes are 99% off course when they are flying and have to constantly correct in order to reach a destination. It doesn’t make me feel better about flying but did make me feel better about my goals and knowing that no path is going to be perfect but if you are aware of what you want and how to get there you can always make the necessary adjustments.
If you have goals that you have never written down and wonder why you haven’t reached them yet then do yourself a favor and even without all the other process just simply write them down and your chances of success go way up. I’m not an expert on this by any means but if you have more questions just google how to be successful or goal setting and there are ton’s of resources. If you want to take it a step further get yourself a coach. Kathy is a coach herself although I go to U Turn Warrior Co-Active Life coaching with Sharon Cowan and she has been amazing. I am constantly writing my goals down, I do review them but my process needs work so being at this event today was inspiring.
After Kathys talk I went on to a yoga session that left me feeling great after being a little tired . It really did help with my focus but also helped me to get excited about using my free week at Yoga Nirvana and think I’ll be going tomorrow. We had lunch then finished up my day with an Investing session that was really helpful too. All of the woman and sponsors did a fantastic job. The next workshop is in April and I can’t wait becuase I will be going.
Well that’s all for today I just wanted you to know about this workshop and if you have more questions on how to get in touch with any of the people I mentioned just email me!
Have a lovely weekend!
Love
Jaclyn

Forget Resolutions, I’m getting real
Well here I am still technically unemployed
and still smiling at least. I have to
say I have received some really great words of encouragement and love. It’s wonderful to know that I have people who
have my back. The job market in this
town just isn’t very promising at this point though. I have applied for EI and hopefully will have
that as a go to if needed. It still
won’t be enough to fuel my life but hey its better than borrowing or
hooking! (My aunt loves it when I say
that). I have decided that I am willing
to relocate if need be and maybe that’s not a bad thing. Halifax could be a viable option especially
with the music scene there! We will see
what unfolds.
So how are my new years resolutions
going? Well not really going well but
starting a few things. I honestly haven’t
even made New Years Resolutions in years but this year I decided to and Im not
sure why. Sunday, as per my lose 50lbs
resolution I did track my food so I have one point there AND I did take my kids
swimming so another point on the exercise front. I didn’t stay within my calorie limit but Im
not going to be too hard on myself since I did more good than bad! Two steps forward one step back
sometimes. I didn't write it but I love Holly McNarland and the message is how I feel.
Dating resolution, well I’ve since had 2 dates but one was delayed so it ended up happening in the new year plus he was too cute to pass up and the other was more of a chill and watch movies. See the thing is that I'm a social butterfly and I like having company and whatnot. I really did think it would be easy to just not date haha.. I think it’s just a matter of getting into the mindset where I am exicuting my intentions in music, health and live so when someone is meant to come into my life they will. That or I’ll date and have fun again ether way I have to let it flow but not until I do get back on track with the things that really matter. So here is a video I really love that reflects how I feel. “I hate to be alone sometimes, but sometimes alones just fine”

I read the DIY newsletter sent out by Brian
Thompson of Thorny Bleeder Records and when I have the time I’ll listen to the
podcast too. MusicBiz Weekly Podcast #91 - Back to Basics: Prepping for Future Success with Michale Brandvold. There were a few things that hit home like
not setting goals but setting intentions, breaking it down and being realistic
but not limiting yourself. I’ve decided
to throw my “resolutions “out the window and really focus on where I want to be
this time next year. This is not a
resolution it’s more of a way of life. I
think I got overwhelmed because I failed to chunk it down but after listining to Brian and Michael I have been inspired.
Set your intentions and believe!

Resolutions that rock. Im ready for 2013!
I am taking a few moments to blog since I am at my moms and it is finally quiet! I want to reflect on 2012 and yes it was another one for the books. I think I say that every year but really this past year was a very good one. I made some really amazing changes in my life at the end of 2011 that carried though to this past year. The lessons I learned and people I have met this year are ones that will be with me throughout my life. That’s the kind of person I am though, I take it all as lessons and look at the positive aspects of anything that happens.
High points:
Resolutions for 2013:
JR
PS
If you aren't already connected with me on my fanpage please head over to
www.facebook.com/jaclynreinhartmusic and give me a like. :)
High points:
- Getting a grant to record an album in 2013 from the province of NB
- Playing at the ECMA’s and Music NB, Dooryard Arts and many festivals with my band!
- Cutting my hair off
- Running 5k
- Being more happy with myself then ever
- Seeing the amazing support from my family and friends
- Getting fired! (Seriously it was a great thing)
- Meeting so many amazing people
Resolutions for 2013:

- Reach my weight loss goal of 150lbs by August 20, 2013 at 8:00am!
- Break my procrastination issue
- Manage my time better by scheduling activities
- Mange my money better and follow a budget more diligently
- Not dating from Jan 1, 2013 until I reach my weight loss goal (this was my facebook status epiphany ;P)
- Run 3-5 times a week (not for weight loss but for me)
- Become more proactive not reactive with my kids
- Execute my marketing pan for the album fully
- Make it to Toronto for a visit and also gig there
I seriously am going to take a break from the dating world (sorry Jasmine!) because as fun as it is I need some more me time. I will be sad not to make it into Jasmines blog for a while though haha. We have such fun together but its only until I reach my weight loss goal. It’s amazing though the guys that I have met and friendships I’ve made though so I can’t stay its bad it’s just distracting me from other things. Also to be honest since I’ve lost weight its shocked me the people who approach me....its cool I just wonder what I will attract when I get to the other part of this journey. I know that looks shouldn’t matter but really I’m not gonna lie, they do. It’s one part physical and the other confidence though really. I think I’m still single mainly because I’m not ready to be with anyone while I still have work to do. It’s like sitting down to dinner with everything not quite cooked…it still looks ok but would be better if you waited. Haha that’s my analogy!
Plus I have so much writing left to do and to work on my album I don’t need men mucking up my mind since I have enough material for a few albums gotta get it all out. I don’t love easy and when I fall, I fall hard so I better just tuck that away till the time is right. I’ve already had my share of heartbreak this year and really I’m grateful for it. Recently fell for someone who was completely wrong for me anyway but we had such an amazing time together. I mean he is a musician, he made me laugh constantly, we wrote some music, he was so sexy ugg…it was hard not to develop feelings. I got the ole “We can only be friends” message and from that point realized…ok I’ve had enough. I have a few dates left before New Year’s and I’m going to have fun and then after that. It’s me time :)
I’m also going to start off the New Year with my Free Week of Yoga from Nirvana that Jonas gave me. I have eaten there a million times but never did yoga in his studio so I am super excited. It’s a beautiful place and has the most amazing energy so if you get a chance go check it out too! You get a free bliss ball on your first visit too YUM!
I am wishing you the best for 2013 because no matter what happens it’s a new year. We can make it what we want right!
Much love,

Thank you for music, chocolate and bright colored tights!
Well here it is mid-October and a beautiful fall
Thanksgiving day and we just wrapped up dinner here at the Bragdon house. It
was lovely to spend time with my family and warms my heart to know how lucky I
am.
It is nice to reflect on what we are
thankful for and it is something I do often. I have learned that you don’t get more without
being thankful for what you have already.
I have been very fortunate to have an amazing supportive family, great
kids, beautiful friends and an ever growing fanbase that gives me so much
joy. I am thankful for the fact that I
have entered into the world of music and play guitar, write songs and sing them
for you all as much as I can with a really fantastic band. Tony, Jeff and Grant have been working hard and rocking out with me to make it all come together and I really appreciate them a lot. I have a
great full time job with Fred FM (Newcap Radio) and live in a great city here in NB. I'm also thankful for chocolate, bright colored tights, cute boys to flirt with, most kinds of cheese and times when you laugh so hard you can't control it. Simple pleasures :)
This past year has been so much better for me
than the previous one and I've learned more than any school could teach you
about people, love, and life. My life
keeps getting better and more opportunity’s come up all the time. I think that the things I have been though
have helped me to deal with anything life throws at me. I am a student of life and will always be
evolving, growing and making the best of what we have.
So thank you very much for being a part of my life wherever we
fit together. Even those who have
entered in and not stayed you were here for a reason and good or bad…they were gifts.
I hope you all enjoyed your holiday (my Canadian peeps).
Love,
JR

JRB will be at the Charlotte Street Arts Center performing Friday, Sept. 28th at 7pm, as a part of the NB-Musicians Emerge Festival. We will be joined that night by Oh no, Theodore and Jordan Doucet.
I also have the pleasure of being a guest at Jessy Ashfiled’s Recording Fundraiser at Dolans Pub Saturday Sept 29th from 2-6. Other musicians include Kendra Gale, Pamala Pachal, Matt McGuire, Mark Roberts and Jessy with Camilo V. Please stop by and show your support and have a wobbly pop with us!
And Saturday Sept 29th starting at 10:45pm at The Capital– The JRB will be a special guest of Andrew Hunter & the Gatherers. I’m super pumped for this show and know you will love Andrew and his band. You may remember the “Feelgood Song.” Please check them out online at www.andrewhunter.ca, and see them up close and personal at The Capital Bar on Saturday!
Overall, things are great and I’m now focused on writing for the new album “Say,” and will be recording sometime in November!

24 hours of awesome with two festivals, two shows, hundreds of amazing people!
Happy Saturday!
Wow the past two days have been pretty amazing. On top of playing 2 three hour busking slots and driving for over 1000kms in less than 24 hours, I met with 9 industry pros at the Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax and pitched them me and my music. Pretty epic!
I don’t know what will happen but I have some really good vibes. They
were so welcoming and I got some wonderful comments from them. In just a couple hours I had the chance to connect with new people who have inspired me and encouraged me on a new level. The words Deborah Day and Amy Fritz said to me will stay with me forever as a confirmation that I am on the right track, a kiss on the cheek from Ralph Singh at EMI, the laughs I had with David Hayman and more. It really does make a huge difference to go “belly
to belly” (as Troy Spillman would say) because you get that full on connection
with someone. I also had a chance to chat with Andrew Hunter and Christina Martin as they were there for some meetings to so its always great to see some fellow musicians who work hard that I learn from and have the chance to catch up a bit.
I have had a really busy 2 days and I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to some pretty amazing friends /fans
I have too in no particular order because without you I couldn't do what I do.
Thank you to Jessica Middleton for getting my marketing
materials all together (and thanks to Kwik Kopy too!).
Darcey McLaughin for his writing genius!
Thank you Waleed M for letting me stumble into Halifax and have a
comfy place to sleep Thursday night after performing at the Jazz Festival then
driving for 4 hours (4.5 since I got lost in Halifax at 2am!)
Thank you to Charlotte Burhoe of CJayne Event Planning for
coming down during harvest to set up another awesome Candy Station for the patrons. It was a total hit and everyone loved
it. (if you would be interested in a
sweet station or have an event and need help call her she’s phenomenal!)
Derek McLaughlin (Derek McLaughlin Photography) thank you for coming buy to take some pics
of me Rockin CIBC.
Also thank you to all the people snapping pics and posting them on FB Thursday and Friday night.
Marc , Stephanie along with their daughter Sienna for manning the candy station, getting
me water and helping me with whatever I needed. You warm my heart and can’t thank
you enough.
Thank you to my band Jeff, Tony and Grant for playing under
the tree with me this year. It was a fun
set and interesting stage!
Thank you to Harvest for having us entertains the festival
goers and give them the chance to experience my music. Thank you to Mel and the volunteers for all their hard work too.
A shout out to all the kids (big and small) for busting some
movies while I played, it was a pleasure I was blown away by the huge crowds
who gathered around to listen to me and for their generous donations!
And I big thank you to my sister Krista and my Mom for
helping me with the kids. I have such a
busy life and they are always there to help me no matter what and if it wasn’t
for you I am not sure what I would do.
I want to thank my sweet little kids Kasey and Benny (whom I love so much) for putting up with Mommy being so busy. We have missed each other this week because I was so busy but today I am going to spend some time with them by going to the park and even walking around the HJBF for them to take in some of the entertainment and experience it for themselves. I hope someday they look back at my busy life and know that it will have paid off for us. I want nothing more than to inspire them to follow their dreams no matter how big they are.
And thank you to all of you my friends/fans/family for
always supporting me in my music and for all the love you give me. It fuels
this crazy dream I have and your love is the icing on the cake.
To top this all off I was also accepted as one of the 10 NB bands to compete in the New Brunswick Musicians Emerge Festival on Sept 28 at the Charlotte Street Arts Center. Stay tuned for more details!
My face is very smiley :)
Muuuuwaaaa!

Things Running through my mind....
Happy Saturday!
What a gorgeous Saturday in July here in the
country. I just got back from a 5k run/walk and feel great...its beautiful out and I've got my exercise in for the day so the rest of it I can enjoy even more now. I went to a clinic though Inches Weight Loss with Naomi Young back at the first of May and it was a great experience. Met some really lovely running partners and made some friends. I've had lots of people message me about the running and telling me how motivating its been. I love it that people can be inspired by me though that part of my life because I've become very passionate about improving my health and its nice to know it rubs off! So message me anytime on facebook or email, I love connecting and giving advice :)
Now time to update you my lovely
supporters on my musical life!
So as you may or may not know I will be recording a full
length album and most of the planning is in place. I'm excited because now it’s time to start
executing! I was honored to be one of the few who were awarded a grant from the MID program though the Province of NB to help with the recording my full length album and I couldn't be happier. Its not a ton of money but anything really helps and I will do my best to make them and you proud. I’m shooting for getting into
the studio in October if all goes well. I have most of the songs ready to go
and have been writing quite a bit. You
probably notice my life leaves no lack of material and with heart breaks,
dating and my random life in general.....it all keeps me on my toes! I learned a lot from my last recording venture
with the “Favorite Mistakes” EP and I’m really looking forward to this
round!
Sunday I will be one of the songwriters for the MNB Songwriters Circle at the Cedar Tree café and it will be my last Fredericton
performance of the summer (except for a private party ..yes I do that too!). I’ve also been invited to perform on the
Boardwalk in SJ on August 6th at 7:30PM. After that it’s me and my
full band on the Picaroons Main Stage for the Dooryard Arts festival in Woodstock on August 11th . Finishing up the summer at Freedomfestat the Farm in Basswood Ridge (near St. Stephen) in August26th for some WAKE and ROCK at 11AM. Hopefully you can make it to one of the shows because I’d love to see your beautiful face!
Since you took the time to read this post I want you to do something nice for you and allow you to help yourself to my EP songs :) Please email me at jaclynreinhart@hotmail.com and I will send you the link to download them.

So its summertime..no? Yes!
Happy summer!
It’s that time of year where summer isn’t technically
here yet but the weather gets better, flowers are in full bloom and schools
almost out for the kiddies. I love it because I have been getting outside more its lovely.
So…. you might have noticed I’ve lost some weight. About 65lbs since last fall and I feel much
better. I have changed how I eat and
have been doing that thing where I exercise its grand! Running a few days a week and training to run 5k with some awesome woman. I still have more work to do but if any of
you are struggling...just know if I can do it anyone can for sure. I have a super busy life and it’s hard to
manage at times but it just takes a change in your mind and you will be
astonished at what you can accomplish.
So since I have had some success at weight loss I wanted
to kick it up a notch and make my face all pretty too. I’ve been getting my makeup done for pictures and shows at Made You Blush
here in Fredericton and they have been doing a great job. They use really
nice products and I just feel better having a pro do it for special events. I've even done it just for me because
lots of people go in for a lesson/application too. Seriously stop by and tell them I sent you ;)
I have some cool news for you and might even ask a wee
little favor if you can spare a minute. My song “Corner of my Eye” is on
the East Coast Countdown! You will find my name at www.eastcoastcountdown.com and
under it you will see a vote link. Click’er, confirm (say yes) then
you’re done. You don’t have to sign up for anything and you can do it
once a day. I mean if you like the song that is ;)
I will have CD’s available next week by Friday June 2)
as I just put in an order yesterday.
They will be available at shows and even if you want to get in touch
with me I don’t mind delivering. Send me an email at info@jaclynreinhartmusic.com or hit me up on facebook. Don’t
forget you can always download on iTunes or most online music outlets. Just search Jaclyn Reinhart…I’m all over the
internet haha!
I will
leave you with a list of upcoming shows because if you can come out to
one that would make me happy because I like to make you happy!

If my life were a movie….er wait…
Well today is Victoria day and a few years ago I’d still be
out camping with my friends and enjoying the weekend over beer, fires and
music. This year, well I’m chilling out
at my parents house watching Days of our Lives.
This is a show I use to watch religiously when I wasn't working full
time and since I've been back to work I'm catching up on the drama. Makes me feel like my life is pretty level
sometimes…although I have my own share of happenings that could easily fit into
a TV show or movie. I've always said when interesting things happen to me “If I ever make a
movie of my life, this scene is going in it”.
Recently I had a bit happen to me that would make the script because I'm left in
a little bit of love limbo :(. Hold on...actually it just hit me…I don’t need a movie
because duh…Im a songwriter……if you listen to my music you know that my lyrics
come from my real life experiences. I am
very open and honest so along with being so deeply connected with music I guess
it just makes sense that I am a songwriter…. I’m rarely left looking for
material. Just when I think things are
level…life throws me something worth writing about. Hopefully soon it gives me
something like say I don’t know….love to write about…not failed love attempts
and lost chances….oh I know it will someday when I’m ready but for now I have
enough to keep me going especially for the new album.
Now lets talk about summer time! The beautiful weather is upon us and that means lots of shows! I’ll be performing
some new festivals this year along with some of my regular summer spots. For the first time I’ll be in Halifax June 2nd
and I’m really looking forward to growing in that area. I’ll be with Ian Gosbee, a local songwriter from the area, at Freemans on Quinpool doing an
afternoon show from 2-6pm. A very laid
back acoustic show where you can come in for a bite and enjoy a drink while we
entertain you.
Also another interesting show I’ll be playing is a Bruce
Sprinsteen cover show at Somerset Pub in SJ on Thursday May 24th so if you are in the area come see me along with Clinton Charlton & Co for a pre Boss kickoff. Keep up on all of my shows by being a fan on
facebook www.facebook.com/jaclynreinhartmusic
I recently had a new photo shoot with http://www.facebook.com/derekmclaughlinphotography
He did a great job and I’m looking forward to giving them to my graphic artist
to complete some JR branding material. I
had my makeup done for the outdoor shots by Made You Blush Fredericton and I la
la la loved it! My makeup was done by Made You Blush in Fredericton. I love getting it done by a pro it always looks great when they fix up my face. They also have the best products and will help you find the right fit. I use the Pro-Derm face wash and it has really helped my complexion too! Check it out here on facebook or visit www.madeyoublush.ca

If you’ve been following
me for a while you would know that I’ve lost just over 60 lbs since last summer
and I’m feeling much better. I just want to say thank you to all of my wonderful friends and family who take the time to tell me what a good job I've done and how good I look. I really really appreciate it. I had to
make some big changes in my life and that was one of them. I still have a ways to go but I’m celebrating
my successes and keeping on my path to a better me for sure. One tool that I’ve used that has been awesome
is www.myfitnesspal.com and Derek was
the one who introduced me to it. He’s
also done really, really well with his health and has been an inspiration to
me. I’ll post some pics soon for you to
check out.
Well I hope you are enjoying your long weekend and are
rested and rejuvenated for the coming short week.

May - Today be full of MUSIC
Well it’s the first of May and what does that mean? Are we gonna get some flowers from those
April showers…well no matter what they will pop up. For me it means music starts
to really get busy and I love it. Being on stage playing music for you fuels my
soul. This year I have been booked for a
couple of festivals that I am really excited about. They are the Dooryard Arts Festival that takes place in
Woodstock. It is in its 4th year.
It is part of The River Valley Arts Alliance (RiVA) and celebrates local
talent of all types and takes place in mid August. FreedomFest in St. Stephen also in August is a brand new festival but has
some really fantastic acts on the bill like Kendra Gale Band, Ben Caplan, Slowcoaster and
Lovestorm to name a few. Then I’ll be
doing RiverJam for the 4th year and this one is really special to me
because the proceeds go to Music in Schools so I couldn’t be happier to help to
raise money to encourage young talent to grow.
They put the band in the Main Ballroom this year and I can’t wait.
This Friday I will be singing the National Anthem at a charity
hockey game between the Police dept. and Fire Dept and couldn’t be more honored
that they would ask me to do it. I might feel kind of naked with just my voice and a microphone haha! Really though I’ve always wanted to sing anthem at a hockey
game so here’s my shot!
I’m doing
something a little different this month too.
I’ll be in SJ May 24th for a Bruce Springsteen acoustic
Tribute show at the Somerset Pub along with Clinton Charlton and co. Its going to be fun and will pump some people
up for seeing the Boss this summer. Doing things like this helps me grow a little more as a songwriter by moving out of my comfort zone
a bit. This man has had an amazing
career with 17 studio albums and he’s a stellar songwriter..they don’t call him
the boss for nothing!
Im still working away on songs for my follow up album and a
lot of the planning is already done for it but I’m not even going to talk about
a release date until I have more things confirmed. Just so you know that wheels are turning and I don’t want
to hype it up too much but..its going to be awesome. You will have to make it to some shows to get
a taste of the new songs until I can get it in your hands and on your
computers, iPods and such. I love it when I see you guys out to shows and really encourage you to get to as much live local music as you can. Not just to see me but because there are lots of gems out there that will delight you and steel your heart. Trust me you will be glad you did.
This was your May update to let you in on some summer excitement and
put you in the know. I have more gigs to
list too and I’ll be sending out an email with a more official schedule soon.
Peace Love and Rock & Roll (Stolen from Jenn Seeley)

ECMA 2012
Good morning!
I'm sitting here in Moncton at my friend Michelle's having breakfast and winding down from a great week here at the ECMA's. It was a treat to be the hosting province this year. Musically we have so much to be proud of and we showed it off NB style this week. I did some some call backs to my radio station Fred FM to inform our listeners of some of the happenings. Collin McKay and I had some great chats! All of the provinces showcased amazing talent and one of my favorite things to do during the ECMA's is to go hear music that I might not normally listen to and opening up my tastes. Then there is seeing people/bands I know and being blown away again at how they have improved since the last time I saw them.
This year I feel bad that I didn't take in the conferences as much as I had wanted to but regardless its always a learning experience though watching shows and observing. I'm always looking to improve my show so not only was I enjoying music...I was working to ;). Its great to be able to network and also continue to grow relationships though these events too because you really never know what might come out of it down the road.
As for my show we played Thursday night at the Tide and Boar for the Music NB stage. We had Kyle Albright from Oh, No Theodore on guitar for the show and it was a great set. I love getting off stage and getting such awesome comments from people. Especially when they point out that you are different from what they are use to. My music is very pop/rock and radio friendly so that's a pretty big category to be in so you want to stand out some how. Regardless when someone take the time to even say anything is appreciated.
There are so many things I would like to write and give shout outs to the amazing bands but there are too many to name. Thank you so much to ECMA, MNB, The City of Moncton the local organizing committee and all of the wonderful volunteers, artists, industry and the fans who came out to support everyone! Its been a great week and I am very happy to have been able to be apart of it all and I'm already looking forward to next year!

Changes change everything
Well its Saturday and Im sitting at my moms just watching cooking shows and chilling with my family. I gotta tell you this is much different from how I use to spend Saturdays. I had set out on a mission to rid myself of useless emotions, take on a healthy lifestyle, manage stress and get myself on track financially. So far I've been kicking ass to be honest but it hasn't been easy so I am proud of the things I have managed to accomplish as a single/musician/mom/sales rep.
I've learned more than I had expected to learn about myself and even about other people. I also learned that you have to rely on yourself and its ok to rely on others when you need to but ultimately your power will always come from within. I have some pretty fantastic support in my life such as family, friends, a life coach, a Natropathic doctor, my regular doctor, my hypnosis guru, my meal planning coach and my inner coach. I didn't expect to loose so much weight but I guess its part of making whole body/mind/spirit improvements. I think there was an inner driving force that was pushing me forward and it took some time for my mind to catch up....I was pretty much detoxing my body and mind so much and it was hard and sometimes kind of scary. Im still learning to find balance in my life and thats something that everyone has to work on constantly because nothing will ever be perfect and its not meant to be.
I do believe that you can be perfectly happy when you learn to accept things that you cant change and the things that you can change if they will ultimately make you happier and benefit your life...then take the initiative to do it no matter how big or small it is. It is also really important to embrace the mistakes and failiurs, take them as learning lessons and don't hold on to the past too tight...you'll never get it back and you cant change a thing about it. All we have is here and now so enjoy as many moments as you can while you are working towards your goals. Its like the cliche "Success is a journey" and it really is. We are so much more capable of accomplishing things than we give ourselves credit for most of the time. So if you can kick fear out of the way and let faith take over.....you can achieve anything.
How about a mini music update?
Well I've got about 7 songs just about ready to go for the new album but will be focusing on getting a good solid 10 at least. I am also beginning to get all the other planning done to unleash it next year. Its funny because music has kind of taken a bit of a backseat in my life lately but I had to make take care of a few other things for a while to try and do that balance thing :)
Much love,
Jaclyn

Jaclyn Reinhart & Jessy Ashfield

With an arsenal of passionate songs and guitar firmly in hand, singer-songwriter Jaclyn Reinhart is dedicated to expressing her love of music both solo and with her band. Jaclyn has graced many stages over the past few years but one in particular changed her musical life forever as a contestant in a local songwriting contest winter of 2010. Jaclyn and her bassist Tony Patterson noticed fellow contender, Jessy Ashfield. They were immediately awed at Jessy’s charming performance of her piano driven songs and invited Jessy to join their band. They share similar styles, ideas and experiences that have resulted in a productive relationship where they create dazzling arrangements with two voices that couldn’t be more perfect for one another.
They have been having the time of their lives playing solo, duo and with the band along with working on Jaclyn’s debut 5 song EP. Jessy also will be entering the studio this fall to record her solo album “Step Back”. This is just the beginning and they are looking forward to many more musical adventures together!
